About the SOCIUM
DIFIS
This project investigates the historical roots of old age pension systems in all democratic and non-democratic countries around the world. The project aims at determining whether and how old age pension systems differ depending on the political regime type. Furthermore, the political motives of non-democratic regimes will be analysed with regard to designing pensions. For this purpose a novel global dataset will be established that entails all relevant statistical data.
